The Torajan are an indigenous group of people from Sulawesi island, Indonesia, known for their elaborate rituals and ceremonies. The ancestors of Torajan people came down from the heavens using stairs, which were then used by the Torajans as a communication medium with Puang Matua, the Creator.
These earrings were originally cast in brass from an antique using the lost-wax-method to create studs.
