Exploring different cultures through the world of textiles, the Baule people, nestled in the heart of Côte d'Ivoire, produce traditional Baule mudcloth, which is made from handwoven cotton fabric that is dyed using fermented mud.
A testament to their creativity and heritage, mudcloth, is first woven on a loom by skilled artisans, then the cloth is treated with natural dye from special plants & trees. The Baule textile is combined with linen, a versatile and eco-friendly material that requires minimal water to produce. Linen is known for its durability, breathability and softness that improves with time, making it a great choice for our designs.
